About

I'm Stefani Michailidi, and I write the stories that go in this little envelope.

The Little Book Post started from a simple feeling. Getting something in the mail used to be exciting, and somewhere along the way, it stopped being. Bills, flyers, the occasional disappointing parcel. Nothing that felt like it was made for you.

It also started from a smaller, more practical feeling: that most of us want to read more than we actually do. Not because we don't love it, but because life gets in the way, and a 300-page commitment can feel like one more thing on the list. So I thought, what if it only asked for ten minutes? One sitting, one story, done — no bookmark left abandoned halfway through, no guilt about the unfinished novel on the nightstand.

So once a month, I write a new story. Something short and complete in itself. No series, no cliffhangers, nothing left hanging for next time. I print it as a small booklet, add a bookmark and a little something extra (a haiku, a passing thought, whatever feels right that month), and seal it into a colour-themed envelope addressed to you.

Each issue is numbered. By the time you've been with us a while, you'll have a small, growing shelf of them — little objects you can hold onto, not just words on a screen.

I work in both English and Greek, and I write the kind of fiction I like to read myself. Quiet, a little dry, more interested in a person's small moments than in big drama. If ten minutes is all you have, I'd love for those ten minutes to be spent on something good.
